A Few Small Updates to Our Media Wall

Updated gallery wall in Anna's Upper East Side apartment; the Samsung Frame TV is present, a bunch of art and photos, and a table with a decorative book sits on top.

We added new art to our media wall.

Do you ever find yourself feeling like you’re stuck in a rut? Like you keep wearing/eating/watching/doing the same things as a matter of habit, rather than finding things that inspire and excite you? Who are we kidding, of course you do — spoiler alert: we all do!

These “ruts” act as weird in-between’s for the more memorable seasons of these aspects of our lives, and they’re occasionally as important as they are inevitable (but mostly they’re just annoying).

One of the smallest and easiest ways to help dig yourself out of one of these ruts — in whatever aspect of life — is to rearrange your physical space. There’s legitimate psychological studies (the deep dive of which we’ll spare you today) that have shown the way our brains come alive and operate differently when our space changes even the slightest bit.

While we’re not necessarily in a rut, this season of parenthood has had us itching for a bit of a refresh around the crib. One simple and obvious visual change was updating our media wall (you can read where we discussed our approach to creating a media wall here). While it’s not flipping our world upside down in the hopes of shaking off some sort of intellectual cobwebs, it is a subtle but noticeable aesthetic change that still gets those neurons firing in a fresh way.

With that all in mind, we wanted to share the small changes we’ve made along with the products that we used to redecorate our media wall, in hopes of offering a bit of inspiration for you’re own space!

You can shop our media wall using the carousel below and the ornate frame from Deco Frames here.
